Volunteer Opportunities

We have a number of volunteer opportunities available to teens that count toward community service hour requirements. Arrangements need to be made prior to your volunteering, therefore please contact us well in advance. To fill out a volunteer form, scroll down.

  • Teen Advisory Board (TAB):
    • Our next meeting is November 7, 2018 from 4:00 – 5:00 pm.
    • While enjoying snacks, we discuss and plan teen programs at the library.
    • Each meeting counts as one hour of community service.
    • Visit the Calendar for specific dates.
  • Upcoming opportunities:
    • Garlic Planting Workshop. Fri Oct 26, 3:00 – 4:30pm. Join us as we do some light gardening work preparing our community garden for winter and planting a new garlic crop!
    • Goblin Bash set-up. Fri Oct 26. Join us to decorate and set up for an upcoming Halloween program at the library!
    • Goblin Bash. Sat Oct 27, 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Join us to assist during our popular Goblin Bash program!
    • Book sale setup. Fri Nov 16, 2:30 – 3:30pm. Join us to set up for the library’s next book sale.
    • Book sale breakdown. Sat Nov 17, 3:00 – 4:00pm. Join us to break down after the library’s book sale.
  • Other opportunities as they come, can involve:
    • Helping with our Library Garden
    • Assisting children with crafts or basic tech projects
    • Making book displays
    • Setting up/cleaning up for programs, including our quarterly book sales
    • Reading to children
    • Providing tech assistance to seniors
    • Completing library tasks
    • And more!
