Library Cards for Children Library cards are issued to any children that are a resident of Hebron and have reached the age of five. A parent or guardian must accompany the child into the library to register.
Story Times Our story times are held for children between the ages of two and five. Each session is six weeks in length with a two week break in between. Pre-registration is required for each session, as class size is limited, with a waiting list for the next session when registration is full. Parents or caregivers must come in to the library to register. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to interact with the child for these storytime sessions in order to encourage a positive reading experience.
There are two classes in each session for two and three year olds and one class for four and five year olds. Our younger groups meet on Tuesday morning at 10 AM or Thursday morning at 10 AM. The older group meets on Tuesday afternoon at 1 PM. Each class is approximately 45 minutes long and includes age appropriate stories, finger plays, puppets, interactive songs and a craft.
There are no storytime sessions during our summer reading program as we include pre-readers as well as readers. If storytime is cancelled for any reason including holidays or inclement weather, no make-up classes will be scheduled.
