Library Board of Trustees: The governing body that has legal and fiduciary authority and responsibility for the library including setting policy. The Board of Trustees is a volunteer group of nine members appointed by the Board of Selectman. The Library Director reports to the Board. Current Board member are:

Douglas Library Association (DLA): Volunteer advocacy group who provide support to the Board of Trustees. DLA is a requirement of the Douglas Trust which provides a source of funding for the library business. The Association designated six members to serve on the Library Board of Trustees.
